Spotmask is an affordable plugin for NVIDIA’s Mental Ray renderer in Autodesk 3ds Max. It is an incredibly effective and precise tool for rendering world position, normals, UV and motion vector passes.
(As of 3ds Max 2018, NVIDIA’s Mental Ray is NOT automatically part of 3ds MAX. Make sure to get your free single seat license directly from NVIDIA).
We encourage you to download our Demo Version (below) and test it in your video compositing software. The Demo Version has low detail color output, yet enough to understand the advantages of this dynamic workflow. You will see how easy it is to manipulate rendered images without re-rendering it!
