A new dimension to create custom jewelry

MatrixGold® 2019 adds a new dimension to Gemvision’s advanced CAD solutions. It combines top Matrix® and RhinoGold features with a simplified and fully customizable interface. MatrixGold® offers you more power, a curated set of tools, an intuitive workflow, and enhanced productivity.

Parametric History

Parametric history is a way of linking configurations made within MatrixGold commands. When you update configurations and complete a dynamic command, any other dynamic commands in use react and reflect those changes, keeping your design intact.

By keeping a record of all the commands used in your design, this workflow allows editing at every step of the design process, changing the number of stones, widths, thicknesses, stones shapes, finger sizes, etc.

Parametric History will cut design time in half and help to grow your jewelry collections.

Editable Booleans and Cutters

Booleans are used in CAD software to control the way geometry is subtracted from or added to another piece of geometry.

Previously, once you had used a Boolean cutter, your design could no longer be edited. Now, after a union or subtraction, you will be able to keep making changes to the design. This flexibility allows the designer to make changes to a model at any point in the design process.

    Content at your fingertips

MatrixGold has libraries of content and saved styles available to be used in any design.

In these libraries, you will find categories such as rings, earrings, and pendants which contain subcategories offering many style options. Once selected, Parametric History, allows for modifications to the library design so that you can adapt the model to your needs.

These libraries of content are organized using the Content Manager, which also holds style sheets and job bags. Easily bookmark your favorite parts and create your own collections for future retrieval when designing. Style sheets allow you to quickly save your favorite dynamic command configurations that can be recalled later for reuse.

    Cathedral Ring and Split Shank

With our new cathedral ring and split shank dynamic commands, creating stylized designs has never been easier.

Utilizing these simplified tools, complex models are accessible for both novice and power users. There are multiple workflows to reach a final design, giving the designer many different options.

    Transform tools

Dynamic transform tools allow you to make modifications to your designs, such as duplicate around an axis, mirror, bend, taper, and rotate.

Parametric History enables you to make changes to your original shape resulting in automatic recalculation and revision of your design.
